Why We Chose Natural Materials for the Hacienda
At Hacienda Eterna Primavera, every detail of the renovation is guided by a simple philosophy: comfort through nature. As we bring this tropical retreat to life, we’re leaning into the beauty of natural materials—not just because they look beautiful, but because they create a feeling of warmth, connection, and authenticity that artificial materials rarely match.
Design That Reflects the Land
From the beginning, our vision for the hacienda has been inspired by the land itself. Surrounded by lush greenery, blooming flowers, and mountain views, it made perfect sense to carry that same organic feel into the spaces we’re creating.
We’ve used local wood for shelving, door frames, and interior finishes, keeping textures rich, tones warm, and design honest. Concrete structures add durability and a grounded feeling, while being softened by warm woods and earthy tones. Even the curtain rods and light fixtures have been chosen to complement the natural look and feel of the space.
Comfort That’s Felt, Not Just Seen
Natural materials don’t just look good—they feel good too. There’s a certain comfort in running your hand along a wooden shelf or feeling the cool smoothness of stone beneath your feet. These textures make a space feel cozy, timeless, and welcoming—everything we want our guests to feel during their stay.
Whether it’s the glow of afternoon light warming the beige linen curtains, or the grain of wood visible in hand-finished furniture, every detail is meant to invite guests to slow down and settle in.
Timeless, Sustainable, and Personal
Natural materials have another benefit: they’re timeless. Trends come and go, but a well-designed space with organic textures and neutral tones remains inviting for years. Many of the materials we use—like reclaimed wood or locally sourced plants and trees—are not only beautiful, but also part of our effort to work with the land, rather than against it.
Each piece tells a story. Each door, shelf, or hand-finished surface is a product of careful craftsmanship, often done right here on the property as we continue building and refining the space ourselves.
