This experience includes a warm welcome, an introduction to the history of the hacienda, and a walk through its stunning landscapes. You’ll explore key areas such as the coffee fields, processing stations, and drying patios—while learning about both traditional and modern cultivation techniques, all with breathtaking views.
The tour concludes with a tasting of their finest coffee and time to browse the onsite shop.

Along the way, you’ll find roadside stands selling fresh fruit and local treats, glimpses of rural hacienda life, and natural beauty around every turn. The higher you go, the cooler and greener it gets—making this a refreshing escape on warm days.
 
Tip: Bring snacks or stop at a local café. Phone signal can be patchy in the mountains—download maps ahead of time if needed.

Maricao Forest Reserve (Bosque Estatal de Maricao, ~40 min drive)
Tucked away in the central mountains, Maricao Forest Reserve offers a peaceful and lush retreat for those who love hiking, birdwatching, and scenic drives.
 
The forest is home to over 1,000 plant species and many native birds, including the Puerto Rican Tody and the endangered Puerto Rican Parrot. With cooler air and misty peaks, it’s a refreshing contrast to the coast—and a great place to slow down and explore.
There are a few short trails, a small observation tower, and several roadside pull-offs for photos. Ideal for a quiet morning or a picnic in nature.
